Darryl Smith
Associate Director
Darryl is one of the Associate Directors of IPaD.
Darryl specialises in pre planning transportation elements of new developments. Darryl has 12 years of experience working for private and public sector Clients undertaking transport planning, traffic modelling and junction assessment. Darryl has been working for IPaD since 2012, in this time he has been promoted from Senior Transport Planner though to his current role of Associate Director.
In IPaD Darryl leads the team responsible for the production of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, traffic modelling, and network analysis to support planning submissions. Darryl also works alongside the preliminary design team to help shape and optimise a scheme in the early stages.
Prior to joining IPaD, Darryl was with JMP working with both private and public sector Clients. During this time he was technical lead for the term-consultancy Spatial Planning contract for Highways England in the West Midlands. He was responsible for assessing the transportation validity of schemes and providing statutory consultation responses for the HE at all stages of the planning process. Darryl also worked with Nigel in JMP; working together to prepare preliminary designs.
