National Trust Shugborough Hall – Access and Visitor Realm Improvements

IPad has been commissioned by the National Trust to assist in the delivery of a visitor vehicle movement, access, and parking scheme at their recently acquired site at Shugborough Hall near Stafford.

The study work has fallen primarily into two key areas. The first entailed initial consideration of potential access and parking options and development of a scoring criteria and future parking projection study to objectively assess the merits and constraints for each option.

The second key output to date followed the scoring mechanism to identify a preferred access route, egress route, and parking site location to be unified as the ‘preferred option’ with detailed design and costing exercise being undertaken. This option was presented to National Trust’s management team and board members via oral presentation and subsequent final reports for final signoff.
