Working on behalf of JT Leavesley, IPaD assisted with the formulation of a transport evidence base to support an outline planning application for a 300+ residential development with ancillary mixed use on a greenfield site located to the north of Lichfield on the edge of Fradley Village.
A comprehensive package of information was provided in support of both the planning application and for the planning appeal which was successfully upheld.
Work was undertaken to ensure that the scheme could dovetail with the delivery of other local plan sites located immidiately adjacent to the development site on land to the north. This includes design of new road infrastructure to include facilitation of a bus loop extension to serve both sites and new access junctions that can be conveniently upgraded at a later date once the additional land to the north comes forward.
Since planning approval, the site has moved towards the delivery stage and IPaD has been retained both as principal designer to undertake the technical approvals process for both highways and site drainage infrastructure, and as project delivery manager for all other aspects of the scheme which includes coordination of the sale of the individual land plots to house builders.
